My head has been swirling.....the beginning of a new school year can keep you running!! I went to JoAnn Fabrics with my best bud Wendy B. and purchased a few things. I am anxious to go down into the dungeon to start working on fall crafting. I am very sad that I have lost all of my beach vacation pictures but am trying to stay positive about it. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. Hard to believe summer is fading away ;(</span><br />

</div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Well I had a wonderful time in Myrtle Beach this past week BUT one of the worst things happened to me!! We lost our camera :(. The camera is replaceable but the 75 pictures and video clips taken on the beach are not! I am just sick to my stomach thinking about all of those great shots we took on the beach, at the aquarium, playing putt-putt golf, and swimming. I had so many ideas and plans with those pictures. We think the camera fell out of our beach bag and is lying on the beach catching some waves or someone is now the proud new owner of a 9.2 mexapixel sony digital camera with a very expensive memory card inside of it. I even purchased some special paper and embellishments at a scrapbooking store that I found in Myrtle Beach that would have looked great with some of the pictures I took. </span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">I guess I can sit here and pout about the loss of the photos or I can look on the positive side and start shopping for a new camera! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">If you are ever in Myrtle Beach -check out Scrapping at the Beach. </span><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">Reflecting on the trip I had a different experience this year than last year. We had more of us attend this year and I was able to take a lot of classes. I felt a little rushed over the two days but it was a great rush! ;) After catching up on some sleep today -I went through some of the things that I purchased. I am so happy that I was able to get my hands on "The Cinch" by Memory Keepers-I also purchased quite a bit from the Technique Tuesday booth-I just love their products. My favorite vendors were Embellish It! (they carry a large assortment of Basic Grey) Mosaic Moments with Tammi Potter, Tattered Angels, and Quick Quotes. If you ever have the opportunity to attend a scrapbooking convention you should go!! I had a wonderful time with fantastic friends and I can't wait until we go again. ****Oh one more thing-a little story to tell you. My friend Barbara and I were taking a class and I attended the Friday night crop late. When I caught up with my buds they informed me that they signed me up for a singing contest to win a Xyron sticker machine, the small Xyron adhesive machine, Tim Holtz grunge board, and refills for the machines. I thought they were pulling my leg-BUT THEY WEREN'T! So we sat at the table and had to come up with a song using the words, George Washington, Ruffled Grouse, Fireflies, milk, and white tailed deer! I will try to post a video of the contest-it was hillarious.....and WE WON! We had to sing in front of 400 people attending the crop-on stage-</span></strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;"><em>Note to self:</em> never overlap a class with the crop or else your friends will set you up LOL!!! </span></strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">$289.00 -2 night stay at Radison</span></strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">$200.00-in scrapbooking classes</span></strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">$too much money-in shopping</span></strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">Scrapbooking convention with friends-PRICELESS</span></strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">Remember to....roll up your sleeves and create something with the <span style="color: red;">heart!</span></span></strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">Quote for the day:</span></strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;"><strong>"Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be; you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do."-author unknown </strong></span></div><br />

We are pulling out at 5:30 in the morning, bags will be packed, money in hand, and ready to roll to the Creating Keepsakes convention for two days!!!!!!! I have been looking forward to this since January :)......is it Friday yet???!!!!</span></span></div>Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10896847286739471767noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-916845360309768191.post-34319793106511861152010-07-24T15:24:00.000-04:002010-07-24T15:24:48.679-04:00NEED TO VENT A LITTLE!<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">Ok blogger friends.....I am a little frustrated today and I need to vent. I will try to stay on the positive side but it can be difficult sometimes. Here goes...I have been looking for the H2O solution cartridge to do a double page layout. I have gone to two JoAnn Fabric stores, two Michael 's stores, one AC Moore, and also a small scrapbooking store. NO ONE CARRIES THIS CARTRIDGE! I think the straw that broke the camels back today was when the owner of the scrapbooking store told me that she had the cartridge but was not going to sell it to me-she was holding them for her regular customers. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Lady you just lost a regular customer! I think the heat (which reached 103 degrees today) was melting my brain by this time. </span></div><div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I feel like I live in May-berry sometimes. I get tired of having to order things online or hope that I win a bid on Ebay. Why is it that two of the same stores can carry things so differently? Why is it that two different stores carry the same products but at different prices? Can you hear the frustration??? (banging head up against the wall right now) I was looking for Ranger felt pads for the distressed inks and guess what? NO ONE CARRIES THEM! So I had to order them online and waited three weeks for them to arrive. </span><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Hear me loud and clear!!! If I ever win the lottery I will open up a stamping/scrapbooking store and serve all of the customers that walk through the door, put a smile on my face, and make sure that I carried a wide variety of products!!! Ok enough of the venting...thank you...I feel much better now.</span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I am looking forward to spending some time with the gang this evening to discuss our plans for the CK convention this upcoming week. My buddy Carol is making a cheesecake pound cake....the sugar should help calm me down LOL........so wishing we had a Hobby Lobby!!!! Oh well, it is off to the dungeon to try and create something!!!! Have a blessed day ;) </span></span></div>Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10896847286739471767noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-916845360309768191.post-16141796686223450312010-07-23T19:06:00.001-04:002010-07-23T19:08:24.919-04:00THE CREATING KEEPSAKES CONVENTION IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!<div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

You will not see any beautifully painted walls, or plush carpet, or fancy wood floors, or pretty window treatments. What you will see is 1600 square feet of unfinished space. Concrete floors, insulation, and it is all mine! One day I look forward to having the basement finished so I can have those lovely painted walls, plush carpet, and pretty window treatments. But for now-this is what I have and I truly am thankful that I do have this space. No one bothers me while I am creating in "The Dungeon"!!! Hope you enjoy the pics. Have a great day and remember to...roll up your sleeves and create something with the <span style="color: red;">heart!</span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">My quote for the day:</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">"Content makes poor men rich; discontent makes rich men poor."-</span><span style="color: red; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Benjamin Franklin </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

My friend Carol and I loved the fact that this tool is cordless and only takes batteries. There were so many other things that I wanted to purchase! We had a really good time shopping and I can't wait to go again next year. Well it's off to creating some projects with some of the new products I purchased yesterday. It has been such a wonderful weekend! This is my last week in school-my fourteen year old will be graduating from the 8th grade on Wednesday. We are very proud of him!</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Last night a few of the gals came over and we had chocolate fondue night while we gossiped and scrapped the night away. My wonderful friend Carol taught me how to create a 6 by 9 album using ceral boxes. I totally love this album!! It is not finished yet but it is in the making. I will post a picture when it has been completed.</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">We are counting down the days until we go to the Great American Scrapbooking Convention in Chantilly, Virginia. I am looking forward to the vendor shopping!!</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">I am also looking forward to the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbooking Convention at the end of July in Valley Forge, PA!! We are taking classes and spending the night at the Radison Hotel!!! It is going to be a blast.</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Well I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Well, last night was fun! Some friends came over and we had a Mexican Fiesta while we scrapped! We had frozen margarata's and frozen pina coladas! Great food and great company!! I managed to almost finish forty baby shower goodie bags. Hopefully I can complete those today. I will share pictures later.......after the shower!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;"> I am totally in love with my ATG gun! I think that trip will be a lot of fun also.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;"> Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.....I will post some projects this week that I have been working on. I ordered the ATG 714 gun. LOL....I could never understand the meaning of this thing or why it would be something I needed or something that I could use with my paper crafting BUT after this weekend, I now understand. I was trying very hard to complete some of the challenges from My Pink Stamper and had the worst time with ALL of the adhesives that I own. They either jammed, ran out quickly, or just plain did not do the job quite right. I decided that it was time to try something new so I purchased the ATG gun off of Ebay with three rolls of adhesive. Hopefully it will arrive this week so I can try it out. For the past year I have debated whether or not this tool was right for me and I have decided that it was time to try it out. As soon as it arrives I will let you know what I think. Have a wonderful week.....don't forget to work on those Teacher Appreciation gifts and Mother's Day cards!!!! Remember to....roll up your sleeves and create something with the <span style="color: red;">heart!</span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
