Butterfly wings thank you card

Here are the supplies that I used to create this beautiful card:
Close to My Heart stamp pads
Ribbon
Two way glue pen
Mono adhesive
Butterfly Wings stamp set from CTMH
Butterfly print cardstock from DCWV
8 1/2 by 11 cream cardstock
Martha Stewart border punch
Dazziling Diamonds by Stampin Up
Cut your cream 8 1/2 by 11 cardstock at 5 1/2 inches
Cut your butterfly cardstock at 3 1/2 by 4 inches
Once your paper and ribbon have been cut, use the mono adhesive to glue your paper and ribbon down
to the base card (cream cardstock)
Next, select your stamp image and your choice of ink colors. For this card I used the rock and roll stamping method:

  • Take your bold stamp (not one that needs to be colored in) and stamp on a light-colored ink pad.

  •  Next, take a darker ink pad and rock and roll around the edges of your stamp, being very careful not to get any in the center.

  • Press stamp firmly on your paper or project (Be careful not to rock on this part...just push straight down and up).

  • Please note: You must use the lighter color first to avoid inking your lighter pad with a darker color!
Carefully cut out your stamped image
Apply your two-way glue adhesive in areas where you want the glitter to sparkle!

Add your Dazzling Diamonds or any other type of glitter to your image and dust off any excess glitter.

Adhere pop-dots to the back of your image

Use your border punch and punch out your design using the cream colored cardstock cut at 2 by 3 1/2
Adhere your butterfly, stamp your greeting, and then make a bow!

This was a fairly easy and simple card to make!!!  I hope you enjoy it :)
