SUNDAY'S SPILL

Happy Sunday Everyone!

What a weekend it has been already!  Yesterday my students had their LEGO Robotics State competition and they rocked it again!!! They were awarded the Team Spirit Award from the junior division which consists of elementary and middle school students from several counties within the state of Maryland.  This was the top award and only given to one team....ours!!!!!  They also placed 4th out of 48 teams for teamwork...whoot whoot!!!!!  The most amazing thing about this team of students is that most of them are third graders-why is that so amazing you ask?  Well this team had the youngest students participating and they went up against other teams who were made up of 5th graders through 8th graders!!!!!  I am so very proud of all the teams this year but I am especially proud of this one team who made it to the State competition.  It has been a very long year participating in the LEGO Robotics competition but it has surely paid off.  Just watching the students learn and grow from one another made it worth while!  I am still waiting for the new Robotz cartridge to come in so I can create some thank you cards for them.  I will keep you posted.  Have a wonderful Sunday and remember to.......roll up your sleeves and create something with the heart!!
